Black History Month with BPN

As the month of February rolls onward, the celebration of Black excellence commences with a robust lineup of BPN events. The Black Professionals Network began the month with an exclusive member meeting with chapter leadership announcements in an intimate setting. Women and minority owned Aroma Espresso Bar in Wynwood set the vibe as BPN founder and CEO Kenasha Paul announced the launch of the BPN Broward/Miami chapter lead by Chapter Leader Dreema Stokes and Vice President Dr. Whitney Watkins.
“For 2022, our vision is to get more Black professionals connected by helping to create opportunities for networking, resources, and amplifying our members in South Florida”, said Dreema, outlining BPN’s mission. As the Black Professionals Network grows launching in new cities like LA and Chicago, the organization’s value and commitment to community continues to increase.

As mid February approaches, a diverse breadth of events arises. “Pro-fit: Healthy Hearts” held at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex on February 12th will get the blood running bright and early at 10 am.
“When Roads Collide: Black Entrepreneurship & Tech Innovation” in partnership with Dreamcorps Tech and D.A.M. kicks off on February 16th at Ampersand Studios in Wynwood.
Next up in the lineup: BPN’s annual Black Men in Excellence mixer recognizes ten Black men who exhibit the principles of professional excellence, community, and reflect the mission and purpose of the organization. Meet and mingle with the honorees and attendees alike at the Red Rooster on February 17th at 6 pm.
The highly anticipated ”Shades of Melanin” takes place on February 26th at Ampersand Studios, connecting members and attendees in dapper fashion. Don your hues of beige, nude, mocha, and hazelnut as you dance the night away, closing out the month in unity with the Black Professionals Network.
We look forward to both new and familiar faces at the array of BPN events this month-don’t forget to register!
