Los Angeles, California — April 2, 2022 — What has been years in the making has finally arrived, BPN launches a chapter in the Los Angles region! Bringing their unique style of networking and emphasis on curating events and opportunities that facilitate networking across industries, professions, and interests. Ensuring that their members are always one introduction away from an opportunity.
Founded in 2014 by Kenasha Paul, J.D., as an annual conference titled ‘Black Professionals Summit’ in Miami, Florida, and later into a year-round social learning organization by 2016, Black Professionals Network (BPN) quickly became recognized as a preeminent organization for ambitious Black professionals.
Over the years, BPN has serviced nearly 10,000 black professionals with their weekly opportunity newsletters, monthly networking mixers, workshops, special events, and an annual conference, all with the mission to advance careers, power up businesses, and build up social capital for Black professionals.
Just last year, BPN launched its beta mobile app to connect more Black professionals, giving them access points, opportunities, and community with member database and private community space features. This has garnered grassroots attention with numerous cities across the U.S. requesting a BPN chapter and Kenasha Paul says it’s time to grow.
“I always knew BPN chapters were going to be a part of the plan, I just didn’t realize how quickly. The organization needs regional leaders to provide the ongoing community and member-only programming to further its mission and serve as a central resource. I am happy to announce we are doing this in 2022 with Miami, Los Angeles, and Chicago.” Kenasha Paul states.
The Los Angeles Chapter kicks off its first networking mixer on Thursday, April 21st at The New Townhouse. Leading the Los Angeles chapter is Nekaya Carter and Rocsii Frank, serving as the region’s founding chapter leaders.
Nekaya Carter is the Broker/CEO of Carter & Carter, Inc and has served in the real estate industry for over fifteen years with a mission to educate, elevate and empower homebuyers, homeowners, and industry professionals by building relationships through real estate. Nekaya is a proud REALTIST and currently serves as the President of the Young Realtist Division of Los Angeles and the Regional Vice President of the California Association of Real Estate Brokers, both with affiliation with NAREB.
“The ability to connect black professionals with purpose in the city of Los Angeles is so rewarding. Elated to be a part of the founding BPN LA leadership team.”Nekaya Carter, BPN Los Angeles President
Rocsii Frank is a prominent force in the greater Los Angeles area and as the CEO of The Source LA, became a self-made entrepreneur and businesswoman by setting in stone what hustling truly is for the African-American community and people of color.
“It is my honor and priority to shift paradigms towards the advancement of the black community”Rocsii Frank, BPN Los Angeles Vice President
