New Month, New Events!

As fall approaches, so do more networking events, leading up to the big Black Professionals Summit held from November 9th to the 13th. From new friends to potential business partnerships, BPN events draw the community together to form connections each month. Last month’s September mixer spotlighted the Afro-Latino community, as September 15th to October 15th mark Hispanic Heritage Month.

Hosted by Miami Gardens councilwoman Linda Julien, the event was held at restaurant Yarumba, known for its rich Dominican cuisine. The celebration of African and Latin fusion was a nod to the many Black professionals across the diaspora, from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and beyond.

If you missed out on September’s mixer, there are many opportunities to make it to a BPN event! The Afro Pride networking mixer is this upcoming Wednesday the 5th, at 6pm at Rivertail in Fort Lauderdale. Following the Afro Pride mixer, the Afro Pride festival takes place Sunday, October 9th, at Carter Park in Fort Lauderdale at 1pm.

The monthly mixer filled with icebreakers and networking opportunities will take place on October 20th in Wynwood at Cerveceria La Tropical at 6pm.
