Shades of Melanin Now Official After-Party for NoMi Music Fest

NoMi Fest is the City of North Miami’s annual signature Black History Month music explosion. It’s an unforgettable night of live music, a DJ spinning your favorite old school hits, food trucks, and friends gathered all under the stars of North Miami. The event was inspired in 2016 by the vision of Councilman Alix Desulme, Ed.D., during his first term as North Miami’s Honorary Black History Month Co-Chairman. Created in 2016, as Music In the Plaza, NoMi Fest has grown out of the plaza and has transformed by demand into a full-fledged street festival. Past national recording artists include: Monica, Demetria McKinney, Jagged Edge, Chubb Rock, and Dru Hill, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Karyn White, Deniece Williams, Cece Peniston, Case. The list goes on. This highly anticipated event continues to evolve each year. This year’s line-up includes Chanté Moore, Az Yet, Crystal Waters, and headliner 112! Tickets to concert can be purchased http://www.nomifest.com.

After the concert guests who want to keep the party going should attend the 3rd Annual Shades of Melanin: Black History Month Celebration! Its a party experience unlike no other. Come dressed to the concert in chic tones of any of the various melanin hues from the Diaspora. Fellas, don’t overthink the dress code, white shirts and khaki pants welcomed!
